Dyslexia Assessing & Exam Access Arrangements
Face-to-face diagnostic dyslexia assessments which can be used to:

gain greater self-knowledge regarding skills and abilities
-
apply for Disabled Student Allowance (DSA) for university study
-
highlight support needs and strategies for studying
-
identify workplace strategies and support requests for reasonable adjustments
Cost: £495 (+ additional costs if travel outside Portsmouth and/or room hire required)

Exam access arrangement assessments can be used to request support for exams, such as extra time. Offered either in person or online.
Cost: £90 (+ additional costs if travel outside Portsmouth and/or room hire required)

Please note: Both types of assessment are available for young people aged 16+ and adults
Study Skills Tutoring
One-to-one tutoring for college and university students to develop their study skills such as self-organisation, time management, understanding and planning assignments, academic writing, research, referencing, presenting, revision and exam techniques.

Strategies will be tailored to the individual's preferences and any additional needs such as dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc.

Sessions can be in person or online. Cost: £45 per hour (+ travel costs if outside Portsmouth)
Workplace Strategies Coaching
One-to-one coaching to support the development of workplace skills such as organisation, prioritising, writing, presenting and communication for people with additional needs. Sessions can be in person or online.

Cost: £45* per hour (+ travel costs if outside Portsmouth)

About
My name is Sarah Gilbert. I am a highly experienced dyslexia assessor and teacher with a history of supporting young people and adults within further education colleges, higher education and the workplace.
I have over 15 years’ experience of tutoring people with specific learning differences, such as dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum condition, and mental health difficulties, using my creativity to find the most suitable approaches for the individual. I seek to enable people with additional needs to develop the skills and strategies they require to engage with and succeed in their chosen areas of work or study.

I am qualified to assess for dyslexia and hold an assessment practising certificate (APC) with Patoss.
